Welcome to Kras Music! I am very happy to join this platform. I got the mail via Engagement Arts, the Brussels based group that fights sexism in the arts. I was in those meetings from the beginning at the and of  2017, when the #metoo wave reached us. I also found the group #wetoomakeamovement being happy that finally women started to come together telling their stories about bad experiences being a woman in the arts, and empowering each other. Like this platform! I create music since I was a child, and always hoped to find a way to an audience so I can make a living out of it. The School of Arts in Amsterdam didn’t help a lot, the internships even less. Always there was this secret getting together that had to happen with the directors. I don’t get hot from older men, and cannot step over myself to ‘just do it for the sake of’. I was happy to find a partner though, who also loved playing and writing music. We did a lot of concerts in the 90’s and the nillies. Then his carrier started to really take off. And our daughter was born. She said when she was 17: ‘mama why is it that daddy is so famous and successful and you are not? You have the same level of talent.’ I went ill, for 6 years I was mainly going inside, and taking care of the household still. Now I am a cancer survivor, and I start performing and writing again. I am happy to share this with you!
